#1 Falafel Full-Throttle

This delicious winter warmer is a taste explosion for a rainy November sunday. Bringing savoury eastern tastes together with traditional winter sweet preserves, this sandwich is the perfect introduction to the Sunday Sandwich blog.

The Falafel Full-Throttle:

Bread; doorstop traditional wholemeal,
Butter; sparingly applied,
Thick cured pork ham; one large piece, folded, or two smaller layers,
Quince Jelly: spread onto the ham, not a huge amount necessary,
Falafel; balls cut in half, grilled until browning or until they smell good. quickly placed onto the jelly layer so the heat soaks up the sweet taste of the jelly,
Rocket Salad; again, not too much, just enough to contrast with the sweet quince jelly,
Super mature Cheddar; Grated (optional)

Side: Red grapes. Overall the sandwich is quite savoury, so the sweet red grapes bring back and reinforce the flavour of the jelly.
Enjoy
